The Heart’s Calling Never Lies
There are moments when we are in doubt – is the time we dedicate to something truly valuable, will it serve a purpose, will it take us anywhere further? Yet there is one measure that never fails: every minute spent answering the call of your heart and your passion is never wasted.
It is in those moments that we are fully present. Not somewhere far away in the “one day in the future,” nor trapped in yesterday’s regrets. Presence in my experience is the purest form of life – it is both the beginning and the end, movement and stillness.
The Paradoxes of Presence
Presence carries its own paradoxes. It can feel frightening, for there is nowhere to hide. And at the same time, it is liberating, because in presence nothing needs to be hidden. Presence can lead to growth, as we notice new paths, but it can also be deep stillness – observing the breath or just simply being. Both are equally complete. Because even the pause itself carries You, silence and the breath between breaths holds.
By following the heart’s calling, we step into the full potential of our own being. It is a space where there is both emptiness and wholeness. In that space, the question “is this reasonable?” fades away, and only the experience “this is true” remains.
Returning to the Moment
Perhaps the task of life is not to constantly strive for something, but rather to return again and again to this very moment. To answer the call that arises from within. To live so that every day is infused with presence. For presence itself is our most powerful journey.
Small Steps, Great Power
Presence brings us back to simple, essential truths. Have you ever noticed that joy is not born of great achievements, but of moments when we feel truly alive? It may be creativity flowing through music, writing, or brushstrokes on a paper. It may be movement that nourishes the body. It may be silence in which we finally hear the voice of our own soul.
And we don’t always need to answer the heart’s calling with grand gestures, transformative life changes, or declaring it loudly to the world. Sometimes it is just a fleeting second, when deep inside we can feel ourselves answering with a quiet yes or no. In that honesty and rawness with ourselves, a different kind of space opens up – a space where life begins to unfold at its natural pace.
Courage and Trust
I believe we have all experienced that life is not black and white. How monotonous it would be if it were! And although we often wish life were stable and calm, without the tides of rise and fall, passion and indifference – there would be no vitality in it. No colors or contrasts, no harmony of movement and pause.
For I believe presence does not exclude fear or doubt – it embraces them and allows them to be part of the whole. Out of this embrace comes courage and trust: the courage to step into the unknown and the trust that it will carry us. And oh, how it carries!
A Simple Truth
In the end, one simple truth remains: presence is not something to be achieved. It is something we can simply be in. Every step taken from the heart, every honest moment with ourselves, every small act born from inner calling – these are the keys into presence.
And when we are present, we finally realize we have never truly been anywhere else.
A Question for You
What is the smallest step you could take today to answer your heart’s calling and allow yourself to be fully present?
An Invitation for You
If you feel the calling not only to reflect on presence but to truly experience it, I invite you to a one-day journey in the Estonian wilderness. This is like a mini-retreat – a day where time slows down, the soul finds space, and nature relfects your true essence.
This journey is a gift to yourself: a chance to step away from the noise of everyday life, to sink into silence and presence, and to discover more of your authentic self.
The journey does not have to be only one-on-one. If you wish, you can bring along up to two people – a friend, loved one, or colleague – with whom to share reflections and discoveries. Being together in nature creates a special bond and opens up the possibility to truly listen to and see one another in a new way.
If this resonates with you, you are warmly welcome to reach out. We will agree on the time and place together, and I will send you all the practical details. Send me an email: liis@gobeyondself.com or a message on Facebook or Instagram.
Contribution for this day:
- €444 per person (if the journey is individual)
- €333 per person (if more than one participant)
The price includes the guided nature journey in Estonia, facilitation, a meal, and moments of silence.
